研究概要

This systematic review and meta-analysis included 11 randomized controlled trials with 876 patients suffering from chronic spinal pain. The study examined the effects of pain science education (PSE) combined with exercise on pain intensity and disability. Pooled outcomes of interest included pain intensity, disability, and the moderating effects of specific PSE target concepts. The results demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in pain intensity and disability. Importantly, greater reductions in pain intensity were associated with a higher number of PSE target concepts, particularly those emphasizing behavioral change and reconceptualization of pain. These findings suggest that optimizing PSE content could enhance its effectiveness in managing chronic spinal pain.
