Posterior cruciate-retaining versus posterior-stabilized total knee arthroplasty: A meta-analysis
J Arthroplasty. 2013 Mar;28(3):439-44. doi: 10.1016/j.arth.2012.08.00812 papers (1114 patients (1265 knees)) were selected for inclusion in this meta-analysis to compare posterior cruciate-retaining and posterior stabilized prostheses in TKA, assessing range of motion, flexion, and complication rates. Data demonstrated better flexion and range of motion in posterior-stabilized prosthesis, but no difference in complication rates. The clinical significance of the differences between these has yet to be identified.
