Dimensions of LSD, methylphenidate and chlordiazepoxide experiences
Psychopharmacologia. 1969 23-Feb;():. 10.1007/BF00401528Ninety-nine male alcoholic patients underwent a double-blind study to assess the effects of methylphenidate, and chlordiazepoxide in an identical set and setting. Effects were measured using the DWM Card Sort. LSD produced sensory and perceptual distortions and mystical, religious or paranormal sensations. LSD did not produce the traditional therapeutic experience. Both LSD and methylphenidate produced anxiety while chlordiazepoxide produced relaxation and enhanced music appreciation.
