Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using autologous double hamstrings: a comparison of standard versus minimal debridement techniques using MRI to assess revascularisation: A RANDOMISED PROSPECTIVE STUDY WITH A ONE-YEAR FOLLOW-UP

OE Journal. 2013;1(11):300 J Bone Joint Surg Br. 2007 Sep;89(9):1165-7149 patients undergoing ACL reconstruction using autologous four-strand hamstring tendon grafts were randomized to either receive normal or minimal debridement surgical techniques. The results at the 2 month follow-up period indicate that the minimal debridement technique results in earlier revascularization, however this does no provide an increased rate of strength recovery in the graft.
