Thawing the frozen shoulder: A randomised trial comparing manipulation under anaesthesia with hydrodilatation
J Bone Joint Surg Br. 2007 Sep;89(9):1197-20040 patients that were eligible for inclusion were randomized to either receive manipulation under anaesthesia (MUA) or hydrodilatation as treatment for adhesive capsulitis. The results at 6 months indicate that both treatment groups had successful treatment resulting in good outcomes. However, the outcomes of patients treated with hydrodilatation were superior to those treated in the manipulation group.
