2019 AAOS Annual Meeting: Optimum Tension of Bridging Suture in Transosseous Equivalent Rotator Cuff Repair: A Clinical Prospective Randomized Comparative Study

OE Journal. 2019;7(6):1664 patients were randomized to receive a rotator cuff repair with either maximum bridge suture tension or optimal bridge suture tension. The outcomes of interest included range of motion, pain and anatomical healing. The results from the study found no significant differences between groups in range of motion or pain at 1 year. The rate of healing failure was significantly higher in the optimal group compared to the maximal group.
