Randomized Prospective Trial of Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff with or without Acromioplasty: No Difference in Patient-Reported Outcomes at Long-Term Follow Up
90 patients with full thickness rotator cuff tears were randomized to receive a rotator cuff repair (RCR) alone or with an acromioplasty. Outcomes of interest included the long term outcomes of ASES, VAS pain, Constant score, UCLA score, SST and retear rate. The results revealed no significant differences between RCR with and without acromioplasty in all outcomes.
