Effects of Telerehabilitation on Pain and Disability in Patients with Chronic Neck Pain: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Eight randomized controlled trials, including 689 patients with chronic neck pain, were included in this systematic review and meta-analysis comparing telerehabilitation versus control interventions. Pooled outcomes of interest included pain intensity, disability, fear-avoidance beliefs, and quality of life. The meta-analysis showed a significant reduction in pain and a significant reduction in disability in the telerehabilitation group compared to the control. The findings suggest that telerehabilitation is effective in reducing pain and disability in patients with chronic neck pain and may be a viable alternative to traditional in-person rehabilitation.
