Tunnel widening after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: A prospective randomized computed tomography-based study comparing 2 different femoral fixation methods for hamstring graft
Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery; 27(6); 776-78334 patients with unilateral ACL reconstructions between March 2006 and January 2007 were randomized to either the EndoButton (EB) or Transfix (TF) fixation groups to determine the incidence and properties of tunnel widening. The results of the study at 6 months, based on CT scans, conclude that femoral widening at the aperture and at midway were significantly greater in the EndoButton group.
