Therapeutic effects of LSD: a follow-up study
J Nerv Ment Dis. 1967 11-Apr;():Twenty psychiatric inpatients were administered 2.5 mg/kg body weight LSD and matched to non-LSD controls. Patients and controls were rated on their insightful response to the therapy and clinical improvements in areas with behavioural issues, such as sexual behaviour, excessive drugs or alcohol, and school, home or job performance. Patients treated with LSD showed significantly more clinical improvement in their condition when compared to controls, with LSD responders showing even greater improvement.
