A Randomized Controlled Trial of Thai Medicinal Plant-4 Cream versus Diclofenac Gel in the Management of Symptomatic Osteoarthritis of the Knee
Evid Based Complement Alternat Med . 2022 Jun 13;2022:8657000.Two hundred patients with symptomatic osteoarthritis of the knee were randomized to receive either Thai medicinal plant-4 (TMP-4) cream (n=100) or diclofenac gel (n=99). Outcomes that were assessed in this trial were Visual Analog Scale (VAS) scores for knee pain and stiffness, 10-step stair climb test, timed up and go, and Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) at 2 and 4 weeks. The results of this trial found no significant differences between the two treatment groups in pain scores and knee function.
