Progression of osteoarthritis after double- and single-bundle anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction

130 patients who underwent anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) participated in this study to determine the prevalence of osteoarthritis (OA) following single or double bundle ACLR. 4 years after surgery, functional and clinical outcomes were similar between groups. The prevalence of osteoarthritis using the Kellgren-Lawrence grading system was comparable between approaches; however, a longer follow-up is required to further assess the progression of osteoarthritis following these differing techniques.
