Comparison of accelerated method of casing for correction of clubfoot with standard ponseti method
100 paediatric patients with clubfoot were randomized to receive either the standard Ponseti method (n=50) or an accelerated method (n=50). Outcomes of interest included average casting time and correction rate. Average casting time for the Ponseti method was 38 days whereas the accelerated method was 20 days. The correction rate was similar between the two groups.
