Enhanced sensory recovery after median nerve repair using cortical audio-tactile interaction. A randomised multicentre study

26 patients who underwent median nerve repair were randomized to either receive sensory re-education with, or without the Sensor Glove System. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of the Sensor Glove System in improving functional sensibility. The results at one year indicated that there was a significant improvement in tactile gnosis in the Sensor Glove System group, demonstrating that the time the intervention is delivered following surgery is of utmost importance.
