OrthoEvidence Journal (OE Journal) - ACE Report
OE Journal. 2013;1(9):39 J Orthop Surg Res. 2012 Feb 17;7(1):8. doi: 10.1186/1749-799X-7-842 patients were randomized to compare two different methods in treating intra-articular fractures of the distal radius. Patients were treated with a palmar plate or a dorsal Pi-plate, and were assessed at 12 months. Results indicated that the palmar plate group produced significantly better functional outcomes (such as grip strength and range of motion), but there were no differences in the radiological results between both groups.
