A pilot study examining the effectiveness of physical therapy as an adjunct to selective nerve root block in the treatment of lumbar radicular pain from disk herniation: A randomized controlled trial
Physical Therapy; 2010; 90; 1717-172944 patients with lower back pain (LBP) and sciatica were randomized to receive either 4 weeks of physical therapy or no physical therapy, along with the selective nerve root block (SNRB) treatment. Results indicated that physical therapy intervention in addition to selective nerve root blocks did not offer any additional benefit over the SNRB alone.
