2013 ISAKOS Congress : Microfracture Technique vs Mosaic Plasty: No Difference in Knee Scores at 5-11 Years Follow Up in a Prospective Randomized Clinical Trial

OE Journal. 2013;1(6):4325 patients with cartilage defects in an articulating surface of the femur were randomized to receive treatment using either the microfracture technique or mosaic plasty technique, in order to determine which method provided between long term function and radiological results. Following assessments made between 4.9 and 11.4 years, long term functional outcomes were similar between the microfracture and mosaic plasty groups.
