ISAKOS: No effect of Press-Fit ACL reconstruction on tunnel widening and clinical outcome .
Does press-fit technique reduce tunnel volume enlargement after ACL reconstruction with autologous hamstring tendons? A prospective randomized CT study
69 patients were randomized to determine the effect of the Press-Fit technique on tunnel enlargement and clinical outcome following anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Patients were allocated to receive either the Press-Fit or the conventional technique (fixation using a RidigdFix system), and were followed-up for 1 year postoperatively. Results indicated that there was no significant difference between groups when considering tunnel volume enlargement, functional outcome, and knee laxity.
