Clinical application research of intelligent monitoring system for knee rehabilitation: a randomized controlled trial.

One hundred twenty patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty were randomized into three groups: brace-monitored rehabilitation (n=40), telephone-guided rehabilitation (n=40), and conventional rehabilitation (n=40). The primary outcome of interest was improvement in knee joint function as assessed by WOMAC and HSS scores. Secondary outcomes included isometric knee extensor strength, knee joint mobility, and quality of life as measured by SF-36 scores. Outcomes were assessed preoperatively and at one-month post-surgery. Overall, the results showed that the brace-monitored group experienced significantly greater improvements in knee function, isometric knee extension strength, and quality of life compared to the conventional group. The intelligent monitoring system demonstrated potential as a more effective method for early postoperative rehabilitation in TKA patients.
