Impact of fixed-point rotational reduction of the spine on pain scores and lower limb motor function in patients with lumbar facet joint disorder.

Ninety patients with lumbar facet joint disorder were randomized to receive either spinal fixed-point rotation reduction therapy (n=45) or conventional massage, acupuncture, and traction (n=45). The primary outcome of interest was pain relief (measured by VAS scores). Secondary outcomes included lumbar JOA score, balance ability (BBS), 10-meter walk test, TUGT, holder walking function grading, and ADL scores. Outcomes were assessed at baseline, immediately post-intervention, and after 2 weeks. Overall, the results revealed significant reductions in VAS scores and significant improvements in secondary outcomes for the fixed-point rotation reduction group compared to the control group. These findings suggest that fixed-point rotational reduction of the spine may be an effective approach to reduce pain and improve lower limb motor function in patients with lumbar facet joint disorder.
