OE Journal. 2013;1(11):332 J Bone Joint Surg Am. 2007 Dec;89(12):2582-9074 patients with an impacted proximal humeral fracture were randomized to undergo one of two nonoperative treatments. The first group underwent an immediate mobilization therapy (within 72 hours of the fracture) while the second group underwent a conventional immobilization protocol. Results indicated that the nonoperative immediate passive mobility treatment is safe and more efficacious when compared to the conventional immobilization treatment.
