This study included a subset of 1434 participants from the Health Outcomes and Reduced Incidence with Zoledronic acid ONce yearly (HORIZON) Pivotal Fracture Trial, examining the effect of zoledronic acid on health-related quality of life in postmenopausal, osteoporotic women. After 3 years of follow-up, participants treated with annual infusions of zoledronic acid displayed a significant improvement in various domains of health-related quality of life when compared to those treated with placebo infusions.
