Effects of integrating Feldenkrais method with dynamic neuromuscular stabilization exercises on clinical outcomes in older women with nonspecific chronic low back pain: A randomized controlled trial.

OE Journal. 2025;13(19):36 BMC Geriatr . 2025 Jul 31;25(1):573.研究概要
Thirty older women with nonspecific chronic low back pain were randomized to DNS plus Feldenkrais (DNSFME; n=15) or DNS alone (n=15). The DNS arm received supervised stabilization exercises; the DNSFME arm received the same DNS protocol plus ~30-min Feldenkrais awareness-through-movement each session. The primary outcomes were pain (VAS) and kinesiophobia (TSK-17); secondary outcomes were lumbar flexion and extension ROM (Schober). Assessments occurred 1–3 days pre- and post-the 8-week program. Overall, the results revealed the combined DNSFME intervention outperformed DNS alone for pain, kinesiophobia, flexion ROM, and extension ROM. In short, augmenting DNS with Feldenkrais produced clinically and statistically greater improvements across all outcomes after 8 weeks.
