Efficacy of Postoperative Analgesia by Erector Spinal Plane Block after Lumbar Surgery: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials

Secondary outcomes of interest included Visual Analog Scale (VAS)/Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) pain scores at rest and with movement, time to first rescue analgesia, postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV), length of hospital stay, and patient satisfaction. Pooled analysis for opioid consumption, VAS/NRS pain scores, time to first rescue analgesia, PONV, patient satisfaction, and length of hospital stay favoured the ESPB group.
