Effect of Lifestyle Modification Via Telerehabilitation Combined With Sensorimotor Training .
Effect of Lifestyle Modification Through Web-Based Telerehabilitation Monitoring Combined With Supervised Sensorimotor Training After Total Knee Arthroplasty: Randomized Controlled Trial.
JMIR Mhealth Uhealth. 2025 01-Oct:. 10.2196/64643Zusammenfassung der Studie
52 patients undergoing primary unilateral total knee arthroplasty (TKA) were randomized to either an intervention group receiving supervised sensorimotor training plus a web-based lifestyle modification program or a control group receiving supervised sensorimotor training with standard home exercise instructions. 44 patients completed follow-up and were included in the primary analysis (22 per group). The primary outcomes of interest were knee joint position sense, rectus femoris muscle thickness measured by musculoskeletal ultrasound, and balance assessed using the Berg Balance Scale (BBS). Secondary outcomes included knee function assessed by the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) and health-related quality of life assessed by the EQ-5D-5L. Outcomes were assessed preoperatively, at 14 weeks, and at 22 weeks postoperatively. Overall, the results of the study revealed that patients receiving the combined lifestyle modification and sensorimotor training intervention demonstrated significantly greater improvements across all primary and secondary outcomes compared with the control group, with benefits sustained through 22 weeks.
