Eighty patients undergoing anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction were randomized to receive artificial intelligence (AI) based rehabilitation or conventional rehabilitation. The outcomes of interest were knee function scores (Lysholm) and International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC, Berg Balance Scale (BBS), knee joint range of motion (ROM), and functional exercise adherence. Outcomes were assessed at 1, 2, 3, and 4 months postoperatively. Overall, the results of the study revealed that both groups improved over time; however, the AI-based group demonstrated significantly greater improvements in knee function, balance, ROM, and adherence. These findings suggest that AI-guided rehabilitation enhances recovery outcomes and patient engagement compared to conventional approaches.
