12 studies, outlining 1798 patients who underwent primary total knee arthroplasty, were used in this analysis investigating long-term durability and functionality of tibial implants. The implants of focus were all-polyethylene and metal-backed. The results indicated that durability and functionality of the all-polyethylene tibial components were non-inferior to those of the metal-backed components, and there was no increased complication susceptibility associated with either component type.
