Core Stability and Electromyostimulation Exercises on Lumbar Lordosis Angle and Dynamic Balance .
Comparison of the effects of core stability and whole-body electromyostimulation exercises on lumbar lordosis angle and dynamic balance of sedentary people with hyperlordosis: a randomized controlled trial.
BMC Sports Sci Med Rehabil . 2024 Apr 23;16(1):91. doi: 10.1186/s13102-024-00879-5.Seventy-five sedentary males with lumbar hyperlordosis were randomized into four groups: CSE (n=19), WB-EMS (n=18), CSE Plus (n=18, CSE with WB-EMS vest), and a control group (n=20). The primary outcome was the lumbar lordosis angle, and the secondary outcome was dynamic balance. Outcomes were assessed before and after a six-week training intervention. Overall, results revealed significant reductions in the lordosis angle in the CSE and CSE Plus groups compared to the control group, with the CSE Plus group demonstrating additional improvements in dynamic balance. The study suggests CSE Plus provides superior benefits for correcting lumbar lordosis and enhancing dynamic balance in this population.
