Clinical outcomes and complication profile of total hip arthroplasty after lumbar spine fusion: a meta-analysis and systematic review.
Eur Spine J. 2020 Feb;29(2):282-294.Ten studies on patients with or without prior spinal fusion undergoing total hip arthroplasty were included in this systematic review and meta-analysis. Included studies were designed as case-control, retrospective or registry data studies. Outcomes of interest included pooled dislocation rate, revision rate and complication rate. Results of the study revealed all pooled outcomes to be significantly in favour of the no spinal fusion group compared to the spinal fusion group.
