Does tranexamic acid improve visualization during arthroscopic rotator cuff repair? A double-blinded, randomized controlled trial
Fifty patients undergoing arthroscopic rotator cuff repair were randomized to receive either tranexamic acid (TXA; n=25) or placebo (n=25). The primary outcome of interest was visual clarity during the surgery. The results showed that preoperative administration of TXA did not improve visual clarity during surgery.
