Capacitive biophysical stimulation improves the healing of vertebral fragility fractures: a prospective multicentre randomized controlled trial.
OrthoEvidence Journal (OE Journal) - ACE Report
OE Journal. 2024;12(15):50 J Orthop Traumatol . 2024 Apr 15;25(1):17.研究概要
Sixty-six patients with vertebral fragility fractures (VFFs) were randomized to receive either capacitive biophysical stimulation (n=33) or standard conservative treatment (n=33). Outcomes of interest included the resolution of vertebral bone marrow edema (VBME) as measured by MRI, pain reduction (VAS), improvement in disability (ODI), reduced analgesic consumption, and preservation of vertebral body geometry (anterior height/posterior height ratio and vertebral kyphosis). Outcomes were assessed at 30, 60, and 180 days. Overall, the results revealed that patients in the capacitive biophysical stimulation group had faster VBME resolution and lower analgesic consumption. The findings suggest that capacitive stimulation can accelerate fracture healing and improve clinical outcomes in VFF management.
