Revisiting Arthroscopic Partial Meniscectomy for Degenerative Tears in Knees With Mild or No Osteoarthritis: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials
Clin J Sport Med. 2020 May;30(3):195-202.A total of 5 randomized controlled trials containing 580 patients with degenerative meniscal tears and mild or no knee osteoarthritis were included comparing arthroscopic partial meniscectomy and control (sham operation, physical therapy) in this meta-analysis. Outcomes of interest included pain and functional ability. No statistically significant differences were observed between the two treatment arms in pooled pain and functional scores at all timepoints.
