2012 AOSSM Annual Meeting: Cost Effectiveness Analysis of Early Reconstruction versus Rehabilitation and Delayed Reconstruction for ACL Tears

OE Journal. 2013;1(11):292Two methods of ACL reconstruction, early ACL reconstruction (ER) and rehabilitation with delayed reconstruction (DR,) have been shown to result in similar outcomes (KOOS). These to differing treatment methods were examined to compare their cost-effectiveness. Results indicated that early reconstruction was both more effective in terms of quality-adjusted life years gained and less costly than the delayed reconstruction method.
