Healthcare (Basel) . 2023 Feb 14;11(4):564.Sixty-five patients with knee osteoarthritis were randomized to receive either an integrated physiotherapy protocol (n=32) or standard of care (n=33). The primary outcome of interest was pain scores on a Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Secondary outcomes of interest included the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC), 40-meter walk test, sit-to-stand test, stair climbing test, timed up and go (TUG), and the functional reach test. The integrated physiotherapy group showed significantly better scores in all outcomes except for the stair climb test, 40-meter fast-paced walk test, and the functional reach test.
