Hands-on robotic unicompartmental knee replacement: a prospective, randomised controlled study of the acrobot system
J Bone Joint Surg Br. 2006 Feb;88(2):188-9727 patients (28 knees) undergoing unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) were randomised to undergo treatment with assistance from the Acrobot system or conventional surgery. The primary outcome was the examination of the tibiofemoral alignment angle in the coronal plane. Results indicated that the use of the Acrobot robotic system improves the accuracy and positioning of the implant in the coronal plane.
