2018 AAOS Annual Meeting: TissueGene-C (TG-C), a Novel Cell and Gene Therapy for the Treatment of Osteoarthritis

OE Journal. 2018;6(7):7163 patients with Kellgren-Lawrence grade III knee osteoarthritis were randomized to intraarticular treatment with either TissueGene-C or placebo. Patients were assessed for outcome on clinical scores, including the International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) score, a visual analog scale, and the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC), over 52-week follow-up. Results for all three clinical scores significantly favoured the TissueGene-C group compared to placebo group after 52 weeks.
