2018 AAOS Annual Meeting: Two-Year Results of a Randomized Trial of Robotic Surgical Assistance Versus Manual Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty

OE Journal. 2018;6(6):5139 patients scheduled for unicompartmental knee arthroplasty were randomized to the procedure with or without robotic assistance. Patients were assessed for patient-reported pain and function after 2 years. A subgroup analysis of 31 patients with high preoperative activity level (UCLA Activity Score >5) was also conducted. Overall, no significant differences between groups in outcome measures were observed. In the subgroup analysis, a significantly better outcome on functional scores was observed in the robotic assistance group compared to the manual group.
