Which Method is Better for Biceps Tenodesis? Prospective Randomized Comparative Study
80 patients undergoing arthroscopic rotator cuff repair with superior labrum-biceps complex lesions and undergoing tenodesis were randomized to either interference screw fixation or suture anchor fixation. The purpose of this study was to compare the clinical and anatomical outcomes between these two techniques at 1 year postoperatively. Results displayed that pain and all functional outcomes were similar between groups at 12 months postoperatively. However, more cases of tenodesis failure occurred in the interference screw group.
