The recent interest in medical cannabis has heightened attention to its side-effect profile, prompting closer evaluation of risks alongside potential benefits. Across more than forty comparative studies involving over four thousand patients, dizziness, dry mouth, and nausea emerged as the most frequently reported issues, with fatigue, headache, and drowsiness occurring less often. Side effects varied by cannabinoid formulation, with higher-THC products showing increased rates of dizziness, headache, and euphoria. CBD appeared to mitigate some psychoactive responses. Although more than one hundred distinct side effects were documented, attribution to treatment was often unclear, and no cannabis-related deaths were reported.
