Telerehabilitation quickly moved from a rarely used option to a practical necessity as clinics closed during the pandemic. With new policies, insurer support, and user-friendly platforms, virtual physiotherapy became far more accessible and widely accepted. Many patients appreciated the convenience, flexibility, and ability to work within their home environment, while therapists reported stronger communication and engagement. Still, TRH cannot fully replace hands-on assessment, and technological barriers remain for some groups. Evidence across diverse conditions suggests comparable outcomes, high satisfaction, and strong adherence, especially when TRH supplements traditional care.
