Zimmer Biomet Highlights Diverse Portfolio of Orthopedic & Musculoskeletal Innovations at AAOS 2025 Annual Meeting .
Zimmer Biomet showcased a broad portfolio of orthopedic and musculoskeletal innovations at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) 2025 Annual Meeting in San Diego. Central to the exhibition was the company’s comprehensive hip reconstruction lineup, led by the newly introduced Z1 Triple-Taper Femoral Hip System, along with advancements in knee and upper extremity reconstruction and components of its robotic technology ecosystem. The company also launched ZBX, a comprehensive Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) program designed to support surgeons and institutions expanding outpatient orthopedic services.
President and CEO Ivan Tornos highlighted the company’s ongoing innovation cycle, noting recent FDA-cleared technologies across hip, knee, and shoulder reconstruction as well as expanded ASC-focused solutions. Key hip technologies included the Z1 system, the HAMMR Automated Hip Impaction System, OrthoGrid Hip AI for intraoperative fluoroscopic guidance, and the FDA-cleared HipInsight mixed-reality navigation platform. Knee innovations included the metal-sensitivity-friendly Persona Revision SoluTion Femur, the Oxford Cementless Partial Knee, the Persona OsseoTi Keel Tibia, and the expanded Persona IQ smart knee implant portfolio. In upper extremities, the OsseoFit Stemless Shoulder System was featured.
Zimmer Biomet emphasized its integrated digital, robotic, and AI-enabled technologies as drivers of efficiency and improved patient outcomes across global orthopedic care pathways.
