Reverse, Anatomic TSA Had Similar Return to Sport, Satisfaction Rates .
Reverse and anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) appear to provide similar return-to-sport and patient satisfaction rates, according to recent findings. Despite differences in implant design and indications, patients in both groups reported favorable postoperative satisfaction and the ability to resume athletic or recreational activities following surgery. Reverse TSA, traditionally reserved for patients with rotator cuff deficiency or complex pathology, continues to expand in use and demonstrates functional outcomes comparable to anatomic TSA in selected populations. These findings suggest that both procedures can support meaningful recovery and activity participation, emphasizing the importance of individualized implant selection based on patient anatomy, functional demands, and underlying shoulder pathology.
