Recent findings suggest that older patients can achieve meaningful improvements in stability, function, and activity levels following reconstruction, with many reporting favorable postoperative satisfaction. Careful patient selection remains important, particularly regarding activity demands, baseline joint degeneration, and overall health status. These results support the growing recognition that chronological age alone should not exclude patients from ACL reconstruction, as appropriately selected older adults may experience substantial functional benefits and improved quality of life following surgery.
