Synopsis
501 patients with tibial shaft fractures who underwent fracture fixation with an intramedullary nail were included in this trial. Patients were randomized to receive low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) or sham treatment to evaluate the effect of LIPUS on time to union and functional outcomes.
