One hundred twenty patients with degenerative cervical spine disease undergoing elective anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) were randomised to receive either a microcuff endotracheal tube (Group M; n=60) or a wire-reinforced endotracheal tube (Group W; n=60).
