Synopsis
Eleven patients undergoing two-staged open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) of an isolated pilon fracture were randomized to receive either 5ml of either autogenous leukocyte-reduce platelet-rich plasma (PRP) (n=5) or sterile 0.9% saline (n=6).
