Synopsis
Sixty two patients undergoing arthroscopic shoulder surgery were randomized to receive a preoperative T2 erector spinae block (n=31) or a peri-articular injection at the end of surgery (n=31). The primary outcome of interest was resting pain in the recovery room. Secondary outcomes of interest included pain scores with movement, opioid use, patient satisfaction and adverse effects.
