2014 World Congress on Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Diseases: Effectiveness of kinetotherapy in patients with osteoarthritis of hip

25 patients with primitive bilateral hip osteoarthritis were randomized to undergo usual care either on its own or with the addition of kinetotherapy. The purpose of this study was to determine whether this combined treatment yielded significant improvements in pain and functional outcomes. Results indicated that although patients in both groups demonstrated significant improvement in pain, improvements in pain, muscle strength, walking time and walking speed were significantly greater with the addition of kinetotherapy.
