No differences in clinical outcomes or isokinetic performance between cruciate-substituting ultra-congruent and posterior stabilized total knee arthroplasties: a randomized controlled trial
Knee Surg Sports Traumatol Arthrosc . 2021 Oct;29(10):3443-3449.Sixty-six patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty (TKA) were randomized to receive a posterior cruciate ligament-sacrificing TKA (PS, n=33) or an ultra-congruent design (UC, n=33). The outcomes of interest were isokinetic performance and clinical outcomes measured by the Knee Society Score (KSS). There was no significant difference in clinical outcomes or isokinetic performance between the two groups at any time point.
