Thirty patients with lower cervical spine spondylotic radiculopathy were randomized to receive either a three-point bending cervical extension traction plus stretching exercise (n=15) or stretching exercise alone (control; n=15) for 10 weeks. Outcomes of interest were pain intensity measured using the Numerical Pain Rating Scale (NPRS), the absolute rotational angle (ARA), and the peak-to-peak amplitude of the dermatomal somatosensory evoked potentials (DSSEPs). Pain scores, ARA, and DDSEPs were significantly better in the study group at all time points.
